THE IMPORTANCE OF 3D DIAGNOSIS

Orthodontic retreatment. The two-dimensional image (cephalometry) did not show a tumor in the right temporomandibular joint (TMJ) (asymptomatic). Thanks to the 3D diagnosis, an osteolytic region was observed in the right TMJ, later confirmed as Langerhans cell histiocytosis.

Dra. Irene Mendez Manjón

I am Irene Méndez-Manjón, DDS, MSc, PhD, Scientific Consultant at Easy 3D, a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology, with postgraduate training in Pain Management from the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital.

I graduated in Dentistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela (with Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award) and, in Barcelona, I completed my Clinical Residency in Oral Implantology, a Master's degree in Clinical Research and Biomaterials, and the International Master in Oral Surgery (a 3-year program with 6 places per year). I obtained my PhD in Dentistry from UIC Barcelona with Excellent Cum Laude honors, researching temporomandibular joint disorders in orthognathic surgery.

I was a professor in the International Master in Oral Surgery and in Medical-Surgical Pathology at UIC Barcelona and worked at the Maxillofacial Institute of the Teknon Medical Center. I am the author of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals (including a 2023 study with normative data based on 700 CBCTs) and an honorary visiting professor at the University of Buenos Aires.

I am Dr. Ertty Silva, Scientific Consultant for Easy 3D, a specialist orthodontist from PUC-RJ, and a Master in Orthodontics from Universidade São Leopoldo Mandic (São Paulo). Originally from Bambuí (Minas Gerais), I have maintained my practice in Brasília for over 40 years, specializing in complex retreatment and pediatric orthodontics, with more than 10,000 cases treated.

I am the creator of the Ertty Systems and the author of the book "Ertty Systems – Orthodontics | TMD | Occlusion." I teach courses and give lectures in Latin America and Europe; I am currently leading the 13th regular Ertty Systems Modular program in Brazil and the 2nd regular program in Mexico.
